About the Role

Key   Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales across Malaysia.

  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.

  • Have good knowledge of B2B sales process especially in leads generation, follow ups, action plans to closing of deals.

  • Negotiate and close agreements with customers.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.

  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients' needs.

  • Liaise with Marketing and Business Development teams to ensure brand consistency and increase sales.

  • Manage designated sales team.

  • Stay up to date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.

  • Ensure follow up with customers for payments and various administrative requirements.

  • Any other duties as assigned by the company.

Requirements

· Availability to travel as needed.


· Skills:

i. Leadership: This position requires strong leadership abilities to guide and   motivate the sales team. Managers should be able to build a cohesive team and   foster a positive work environment.

ii. Communication Skills: Both verbal and written communication skills are essential. They   will need to effectively communicate with their team, customers, and other   stakeholders.

iii. Strategic Thinking: Regional Sales Managers must develop and execute effective sales   strategies. They must understand the market dynamics, customer needs, and how   their products or services can fulfill these needs.

iv. Negotiation Skills: Negotiation is a crucial part of any sales role. They must be able   to negotiate deals that are beneficial for both the company and the customer.

v. Financial Acumen: An understanding of financial metrics and forecasting is important.   This is because managers need to set and manage budgets, set sales targets,   and be accountable for the financial performance of their region.

vi. Customer Relationship   Management: The ability to build and maintain strong   relationships with customers is critical. This includes understanding their   needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.

vii. Technical Proficiency: Depending on the industry, a Regional Sales Manager may need to   understand technical aspects of a product or service, use CRM tools, data   analysis software, and other sales automation tools.

i. Adaptability: Markets can change rapidly, and a successful Regional Sales Manager   must be able to adapt their strategies accordingly.

ii. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills can help a manager connect with their   team, customers, and other stakeholders on a personal level. This can help   foster stronger relationships and increase sales.

iii. Decision Making: Good decision-making skills are essential to make strategic choices,   often under pressure, that can affect the company’s profitability.

iv. Time Management: Sales can often be a high-pressure job with tight deadlines. Good   time management and organizational skills can help ensure tasks are completed   on time and goals are met.

v. Persistence: Sales can be tough, with many rejections. A good Regional Sales   Manager needs to be persistent, resilient, and always motivated to reach   their goals, even in the face of adversity.

vi. Cultural Sensitivity: If managing sales across different regions, an understanding and   respect for cultural differences can be very beneficial.


Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Electronic, Electric, Mechanical, IT Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • Proven work experience of 4-6 years in solution sales.

  • Experience managing a sales team.
